What is AxieTree?
AxieTree is an open marketplace for borrowing and lending Axies in the blockchain game Axie Infinity.
What is Axie Infinity?
Axie Infinity is a play-to-earn blockchain game published in 2018 by Vietnamese developer company Sky Mavis. In the game virtual characters called "Axies" are purchased, raised and traded. They can then duel with other players and complete quests. Each Axie is an ERC 721 token with its own appearance and its own "genetic code," which is stored in the blockchain. Registration
AxieTree is an open marketplace for borrowing and lending Axies in the blockchain game Axie Infinity.
Why do I need to provide my email address?
AxieTree uses emails to send important account information and establish borrowing and lending accounts for play.
How long will it take to receive my registration email?
Unfortunately the current registration process takes a bit of time. We hope to speed up the registration process as soon as we can.
Borrowing
How do I borrow an Axie?
1.Visit AxieTree.com​
2.Connect with Metamask
3.Enter your email address
4.Wait for your AxieTree borrower email and password to be sent to you 
5.Select 3 Axies (you can only select 3 at a time so choose wisely)
6.Click Borrow Selected in the top right corner
7.Go to Mavis Hub
8.Sign out of your personal account if already signed in
9.Log in with your AxieTree account and password
10.Play Axie Infinity!
When can I return an Axie?
For each Axie you have borrowed, you can select to have the Axie either kept in your party or returned to the marketplace. Your Axies will also be returned if you do not meet the SLP requirements of the Epoch.
Axies borrowed using ETH for a specified period are not subject to SLP requirements. 
What is an Epoch?
An AxieTree Epoch is a set time period (usually 2 weeks, except in special events) with a global countdown in the main page of axietree.com. During this time, borrowers are required to meet certain SLP earning requirements (usually 1000 SLP). 
What are the SLP requirements?
Axie Infinity introduces a unique "Play to Earn" model whereby players are rewarded with SLP - a cryptocurrency - for each game won. 
To align incentives between both the borrowers and lenders of AxieTree, each Epoch (usually 2 weeks) will require borrowers to earn at least 1000 SLP to continue borrowing their Axies.
How does the borrower fee work?
Borrowers have two options when borrowing 3 Axies: (1) share a % of earned SLP or (2) pay ETH for a set duration set by the Lender
Suppose a Borrower has a team of 3 Axies with the following SLP fees (25%, 10%, and 30%) earns 1000 SLP with that team. The distribution of SLP rewards would be as follows:

83.33 SLP to Lender of 25% fee Axie (1000 * (⅓) * 0.25)
33.33 SLP to Lender of 10% fee Axie (1000 * (⅓) * 0.10)
100 SLP to Lender of 30% fee Axie (1000 * (⅓) * .3)
683.34 SLP to the Borrower
By borrowing Axies with ETH for a fixed time period, the Borrower is entitled to all SLP earnings from that Axie. A 10% service fee to AxieTree applies to the Lender.
For example, the owner of Axia (Axie #265) might lend her out for 1 ETH over 4 weeks. The Borrower would pay 1 ETH, and the Lender would receive 0.9 ETH, while 0.1 ETH is sent to AxieTree. Using the example above, suppose the Borrower switches out the third Axie with Axia. The rewards would look as follows:
66.67 SLP to AxieTree

Can I place a bid to borrow an Axie?
Not at the moment but we plan to add this in the future.
Can you breed borrowed Axies?
No, as you do not control the underlying ETH address that holds the borrowed Axies. We will introduce additional features in the future that allows Lenders to lend out their Axies with the ability for borrowers to breed with borrowed Axies.
Can I use borrowed Axies in tournaments?
Yes, and we have some cool plans of our own for a future tournament 🤫​
Lending
How can I become a Lender?
Anyone who owns at least one Axie can go to www.axietree.com and lend out their Axie by connecting with their MetaMask.
How does the lending fee work?
A lender can set a percentage of SLP revenue-share as a fee or request a certain amount of ETH for a specified duration. We recommend 25% SLP for first time lenders.
How many Axies can I lend?
You can lend as many Axies as you'd like. However, for the public beta we recommend limiting to 30 Axies as there is always risk of your Axies being lost.
When do I get my Axies back after lending them out?
If you lend for a percentage of SLP the Axie is returned to either the Marketplace or your Inventory at the end of the borrowing period based on your choice.
If you lend for a period of time for ETH then the Axies are returned at the conclusion of the set rental period.
What happens if the borrower engages in activity that would get the Axie banned?
Multi-accounting is a huge risk that can cause Axies to be banned from the game, a rule set by the Sky Mavis Team’s Terms of Use, which states: “We regularly ban players who break our terms of use https://axieinfinity.com/terms, and for avoidance of doubt : you may only play on one account within any 24-hour period.” Registering for an account via AxieTree while keeping a main Axie Infinity account is perfectly acceptable, but please make sure to adhere to Axie Infinity’s terms and conditions. Just as how traditional Scholarship Programs may find themselves at risk of banned Axies if Scholars engage in more than one Program, Lenders on AxieTree are also exposed to this risk.
However, AxieTree is able to improve significantly from the scholarship model with our ability to cross-reference various data points to identify which users may be trying to abuse not only Axie Infinity’s terms of use, but our own platform. AxieTree employs several tools to ensure that the platform is protected from abuse, such as tracking the IPs of Borrowers and banning Borrowers who use multiple accounts from the same IP. These Borrowers can also be reported to Axie Infinity in the future. However, this is not foolproof and Lenders always bear a risk of having their Axies banned.
The AxieTree team is committed to working together with the Axie Infinity team to ensure a fair experience for all players.
Does my Axie's level reset if I lend it out?
Yes.
How long can a Borrower keep an Axie?
For SLP-based borrowing, as long as the Borrower meets the Epoch requirements and chooses to keep the Axie in his or her party.
For ETH-based borrowing, until the end of the set duration.
